Obtaining the Compostela
El Camino de San Antonio Missions has a partnership with El Camino de Santiago de Compostela whereby pilgrims who successfully complete their pilgrimage journey by walking the entire El Camino de San Antonio route can obtain the El Camino Compostela and receive 30 kilometers credit when walking the Camino Ingles (English route) to Santiago de Compostela.
The Camino Ingles traditionally starts in Ferrol, Spain, approximately 119 kilometers (74 miles) from Santiago de Compostela.
The distance of the El Camino trail from Mission San Francisco de la Espada to San Fernando Cathedral via the El Camino walking trail is approximately 20 miles.
